DepEd suspends classes due to heavy rain and winds caused by Bagyong Juaning

Due to heavy rain and strong winds caused by the Tropical Storm Juaning, the Department of Education (DepEd) announced the suspension of classes on Tuesday in some areas in Luzon.

DepEd said on its Twitter account "Automatic Suspension Guideline: Signal no 1 - no classes in kindergarten, Signal no 2 - No classes in Kindergarten, Elementary & Secondary."

"NCR: All afternoon classes suspended in kindergarten, elementary and secondary, both public and private."

However DepEd said that class suspension in college and universities are under CHED's supervision.

"FYI College is not under DepEd, please contact CHED or your school administration."
