Suspect in the Norway bombing and shoooting incident faces charges related to terrorism

On July 22, 2011, Norway was struck by a national incident which is believed to be a terrorist attack when an executive government quarter was bomb and a shooting incident at a political youth camp took place.

The office of Prime Minister, Jen Stoltenberg was bomb along with other government offices. The bombing at Oslo, Norway killed seven people and injured several people.

Two hour later, a political camp at the island of Utoya, Norway was attacked by an armed gunman disquised as a police officer who opened fire on the people at the place.

The gun shooting incident killed 84 people thus rising the death toll to 91, plus the 7 people killed in the bombing incident of the same day.

The international community expressed their support for the Norwegians and condemned the terrorist-like attacks in the country.

However, the public broadcaster NRK and several other Norwegian media has identified the suspected attacker as Anders Behring Breivik.

Anders Behring Breivik, who had previously expressed right-wing and anti-Muslim views on the internet was said to have bought six tons of fertilizer from a Norwegian agricultural cooperative.

I found guilty, the man will face charges related to terrorism, which carry a maximum sentence of 21 years in prison if convicted. The charges may change, police said.
