Nepalese Pilot Retrieved

Father of Nepalese co-pilot has identified the remains of Kshitiz Chand as authorities recovered its body in the waters of Masbate according to Defense Secretary, Voltaire Gazmin.

The body was reported to be wearing a white uniform with aviation pins.

Gazmin said that a fishing boat discovered the body floating near the crash site of the Piper Seneca plane, which crashed in the sea last Saturday killing DILG Secretary Jesse Robredo.
The body was loaded to a Navy gunboat and brought to the shore where it was identified.

Gazmin said that Task Force Kalihim will now stop the retrieval operations after finding the Nepalese co-pilot's body.

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines will be conducting an investigation on the possible cause of the plane crash.

However, the plane's right engine has yet to be recovered from the seabed.
