ABS-CBN Primetime Bida: Maria la del Barrio starring Erich Gonzales and Enchong Dee

Maria la del Barrio is a 2011 Philippine remake of the Mexican telenovela, starred by the singer and actress, Thalia which was aired in Philippine TV back in 1996-1997 and a comeback on 2002-2003.

The Filipino version of Maria la del Barrio is an upcoming ABS-CBN drama and romance, starring Erich Gonzales and Enchong Dee and is slated to air as part of the network's "Primetime Bida" offering.

Erich Gonzales will play the role of Maria Hernandez, a native girl who dreams of a Prince Charming in her life. When she meets Luis Fernando dela Vega which is played by Enchong Dee, she thought that she have already met her Prince.

But when she sees Luis Fernando with another girl, Soraya Montenegro which is played by the Star Circle Quest finalist, Paw Diaz, she gets hurt and seeks revenge as she transforms into a rich, gorgeous woman and becomes the girlfriend of Luis Fernando's younger brothers, Vladimir dela Vega, played by Arron Villaflor.
