“It was not successful. When they opened it, they saw there was an infection so she will rest for 3 weeks then they will operate on her again,” said the First Gentleman.
After Arroyo's successful cervical spine surgery on July 29, she was scheduled to undergo a revision surgery on Wednesday morning after her titanium implants and bone substitute which were placed in her spine was dislodged.
Meanwhile, Dr. Juliet Gopez-Cervantes said that Arroyo was in extreme pain and was showing early signs of neurologic deficit or paralysis before the second surgery was conducted.
The hospital has yet to release a medical bulletin on Arroyo's condition.
